CLASS WARRIOR
As Fast and Deadly as a Typhoon

Lances provide good range for a melee class, allowing lancers to keep enemies at a safe distance. However, should an enemy get up close, the lancer can use his shield defensively just as well.
Wearing plate armor, the heaviest defense available to the soldiers of the Valkyon Federation, the lancer has exceptional protection against damage, albeit limited mobility.
His role in a fight – drawing the enemy’s focus to himself – does not require him to be mobile. Though lancers fight at their best in groups, utilizing defensive formations, they are dangerous opponents in a duel as well. Their ability to withstand damage and limit their enemy’s movement makes them a force to be reckoned with.

CLASS BERSERKER
Unpredictable and Powerful
Fearlessly facing entire hordes of enemies, destroying foes with sweeping cuts of their huge axes and turning the tides in almost suicidal battles, the berserkers are the unyielding, unbreakable warriors of TERA.Berserkers are the focused, aggressive disruptors on any battlefield. Their attacks are unpredictable and powerful, usually striking all nearby foes. They are able to defend their allies, fighting in the thick of battle, and they prepare themselves in order to unleash their furious strikes at just the right moment. With proper handling, berserkers are at the pinnacle when it comes to dealing damage, at least among the melee classes.
Berserkers, like lancers, are capable of wearing plate armor and as such have better than expected armor and defensive capabilities. However, their weapon of choice – the battle axe – is what makes them instantly recognizable, especially in battle.
The berserker’s skills focus on devastating attacks, further improving his melee prowess with stuns, knockdowns and debuffs. He specializes in taking down groups of enemies in melee range and wreaking havoc amongst enemy ranks.

CLASS SORCERERS

Despite having basic combat training, most Valkyon Federation priests are dedicated squad medics, making sure others can fight at full capacity.They are often underestimated, but without these divine magicians and the powers their gods bestow upon them, battles would be much bloodier and far more costly.
Carrying out the will of their gods, priests are able to bless and heal their allies, even bringing them back to life. Naturally, they excel at keeping the party alive with healing, as well as suppressing enemies and reducing damage. A priest allows his party to operate at full capacity and maximum speed, without worry of injury or death.
Being fully dedicated team players, priests can summon their allies to them, or teleport the entire party to a safe location, making questing not only safer, but also faster.

Enigmatic, mysterious, powerful – though mystics evoke mixed emotions amongst adventurers, one thing about them is clear – unlike traditional sorcerers, they tap into the primal, raw energies of nature, making the best of its diversity.Most of the mystics travel across the lands to perform what could be described as miracles. In the Valkyon Federation, they are the most versatile soldiers, often leading small squads during specialized missions.
The mystics of TERA may fulfill almost any role in a group, thanks to their wide array of abilities, ranging from healing, resurrection and buffs to slows, stuns and damaging spells. The mystic is able to summon thralls, elemental guardians which aid him in various ways, be it keeping his party alive or destroying his enemies.
Mystics can also use a unique skill – teleport jaunt – to freely teleport around the battlefield, maintaining presence where required or creating unexpected opportunities for engagement.
Mystics wear only robe-type armor, so they require the utmost agility to offset their lightweight protection. Even if they receive major damage, they can bring themselves back into the fray through their healing and crowd-control abilities, or with the help of their summoned thralls.

CLASS REAPER
Dark Avengers from the Shadows
A devastating attack on their homeland blackened the hearts of many Elins. Driven by revenge, they went to war to repay those who had perpetrated this terrible crime. The Reapers were born!Reapers wear leather armor, diving into the fray with tremendous speed and agility. They whip their weapons – two sharp, scythe-like blades attached to long metal chains – into the enemy ranks with devastating effectiveness. At range they are deadly adversaries, though they avoid direct hand-to-hand combat, dodging sprightly to counterattack from afar. Reapers slow their enemies, immobilize them, or even force them to swap places with them.
Using dark magic, Reapers can unleash powerful sundering strikes and death spirals to defeat their enemies.
Agility, speed and the skillful handling of their scythes are the Reapers' distinguishing features. In a group their role is to inflict massive amounts of damage, mercilessly carving through their adversaries with their scythes.

CLASS GUNNER
Heavily Armed Tech Expert
With the help of their weaponry, Gunners bundle up arcane energy and transform it into lethal projectiles. This highly developed technology is the product of years of research by the High Elves and Castanic. Even though collaboration between the two peoples was sometimes uneasy – feisty Castanic and proud High Elves are rarely a harmonic combination – the project bore fruit in the form of this weapon. To this day, both races are the only ones who are able to work with the sensitive arcannon.The arcannon is to a Gunner like a forearm is to the rest of us. With true aim and precision they fire piercing projectiles and place bombs that explode after a short time. In addition, they make use of the technical prowess to summon two constructs that then support them in battle: the ST Construct shots on close enemies without tiring whilst the HB Construct supports its Gunner with a healing beam. Yet the Brawler knows precisely how to channel her fury, not only delivering bone-splintering uppercuts and knock-out blows to her enemies, but also harnessing that power to protect her allies. Brawlers are always looking to pick a fight, quickly drawing the attention of entire hordes of enemies. Throwing punches and kicks in a flurry, she can unleash a variety of combo skills. Given her penchant for close combat, she wears heavy metal armor to withstand melee attacks, and powerfists are similarly made of toughened steel. Some of her attacks are so powerful that they actually lift enemies into the air and leave them utterly defenseless to her continued barrage of blows.

CLASS NINJA
Camouflage Master
Ninjas spend years training in the secret arts before they head out into the world to put their abilities to the test in gruelling assignments. Their own specific combination of manoeuvrability, dexterity and power makes them best placed when fighting over a medium range. In battle, they primarily use sharp throwing stars, shuriken, which they use in concerted attacks on their enemies or even by throwing the stars through the air. To make their attacks even more effective, the ninjas charge their weapons with spiritual chakra power. However they can also use this energy to generate devastating flames which they can then unleash upon their foes. Alongside the sheer force that such close-quarters and ranged attacks have, a ninja's strategy stands out from the rest with their talented camouflage capabilities. These shadow warriors can then seem to vanish without a trace, only to then strike mercilessly in the next moment. If you manage to drive a ninja into a tight spot, you'll soon be puzzling as to how your most powerful attacks are suddenly being wasted on a tree stump that has suddenly appeared. In the meantime, the ninja has teleported behind their enemy, ready to eliminate them from behind. As masters of camouflage, ninjas can even transform into other people, to create confusion. To make the most of their speed and dexterity, ninjas only wear light materials. Their superior evasive manoeuvres make up for this disadvantage.
